It is with pleasure and sadness that I am writing this reference letter for Kathy Darin. Mrs. Darin has been a valuable asset to Windy Ridge School but due to Florida's budgetary cuts, it seems that she, as well as many of our most-recently hired teachers, can not be rehired. It's a tragedy to lose Mrs. Darin, but her choice to relocate elsewhere is probably the best choice for her and her family. Your school would be very fortunate to hire this experienced, talented, and dedicated teacher.
Not only does she have amazing computer-savvy skills, but she is willing to share her knowledge by training and supporting our entire staff. She is usually the first one to learn a new program or system and the first one to offer support to the others. She epitomizes team spirit. Her administrators appreciate her and her fellow teachers love working with her.
Mrs. Darin has been an exceptional math teacher. Her classroom is well-organized and her students of all different abilities show growth. Her students know she is a caring and dedicated teacher. Her students enjoy and are successful in learning because of her creativeness combined with her knowledge of her content area. She is sensitive to student needs and creates a positive environment for all.
She has taught various grade levels and has been flexible. She is exceptional regardless of the grade level. When she joined us at Windy Ridge, she taught third grade and was successful as a third grade teacher as well. Her teammates appreciate how she contributes her time and talent to other teachers on her grade level. Praise and appreciation from her fellow teachers seems to be a constant! I really feel that Kathy Darin would be an outstanding teacher in any grade level.
Lastly, her calm, easy-going demeanor is truly appreciated at Windy Ridge. Yes, she is always willing to help but it is her positive attitude that really makes her stand out among her peers. She is level-headed and a joy to have as a co-worker. I am really sad that she will be teaching elsewhere, but I am sure she will be affecting a new group of students with the love of learning.
Sincerely,
