Dear Selection Committee:
Mrs. Kathryn Darin has been employed for several years with Orange County Public Schools as a teacher. She served as a third grade Inclusion teacher at Windy Ridge K-8 School and I supervised her in that capacity. She is now serving our fifth grade students as a Math teacher.
As a teacher, she has shown the rare ability to get the best results from her students. This is achieved by the manner in which she challenges her students and provides a real learning atmosphere within the classroom. I have always found Mrs. Darin to be a hard working person who consistently seeks alternative ways in which to reach her students. She is dependable, respected and well liked by students, parents and faculty members. Mrs. Darin has a "teaching quality freshness" that draws her students to her with sincere interest. She is well versed in educational strategies such as differentiated instruction, guided reading, learning centers, small groups and intervention strategies.
She possesses many fine personal qualities which allow her to interact with parents and the community-at-large in a professional manner. Mrs. Darin is intelligent and well-prepared to meet the needs of her profession. I am proud to recommend her as a candidate in good standing with our district for any position K-5 as a teacher in your district. I know that she would be an excellent addition to any instructional staff and a wonderful asset to your educational community.
If I can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Educationally Yours,
Ms. Teena Moore-Jenkins
Assistant Principal
